After two years of trying to get a different dealer to service my Bernina Q24, a friend suggested Tim and Top Stitch Sewing. Top Stitch is quite a ways from us but my Q24 was having serious issues so we finally gave in and called. My husband spoke with Tim and he knew exactly what was wrong [the other serviceman was vague and didn't seem to have a clue-yet he works at a fairly reputable dealer in Springfield]. Despite an almost 3 hour drive, we brought the sewhead to Top Stitch. Tim apologized that it might take 2-3 weeks. Two to three WEEKS??? I laughed - I thought he might say 3-6 MONTHS!! As stated, the machine was fixed, cleaned, and serviced in under 3 weeks. When we returned, Tim went through several points on the machine, most I was unaware of. He also gave us several 'gifts': a coffee mug, yard stick, potholder, etc. This service is amazing in and of itself - but especially in light of the fact that I DID NOT buy my machine from Top Stitch Sewing. Which is likely the issue with the other dealership - if you don't purchase a machine from them, they really are unhelpful. Yet Top Stitch went out of their way to treat us as if we had bought our machine from them and were their best customers. We will always drive the extra miles or order online anything we need from Top Stitch -- they know customer service.
