BERNINA #71 Lap-Seam Foot (8mm)

The Bernina #71 Lap-Seam foot (8 mm) creates a flat-felled seam that is roughly 1/4-inch wide and is intended for sewing heavy weight fabrics like denim, wool, corduroy, and tapestry. The #71 foot has an off-set needle slot that allows for straight stitching with the needle in the left or center position. For sewing exact lap seams, which are perfect for creating reversible clothing, use the 6 mm lap seam foot. For medium to heavy-weight materials, use the 5.5 mm and 9 mm machines.
